Commissioner Shryock stated Ramsey is more similar to Andover than Elk River. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum stated Ramsey does not necessarily have to raise fees because other <br />communities are. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns stated she would like to table this item until an analysis of surrounding <br />communities could be done. She also stated they needed to be fair and not raise the fees just to <br />raise them. <br /> <br />Chairperson Lehman questioned how long they have been using the market value calculation. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Riverblood stated since 1992. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to table this item until more research could be done. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Ostrum, seconded by Commissioner Shryock to table the consideration <br />of the increase for the Park and Trail Dedication fees. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners LaMere, Lehman, Olds, <br />Ostrum, Pontius and Shryock. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: Follow up on Rivenwick 4th Addition <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Riverblood stated at the November Park and Recreation <br />Commission meeting, staff reviewed the sketch plan for the proposed Townhome project known <br />as Rivenwick Village. The Commission was informed that the proposed layout of the private and <br />public streets was certain to change, and that the plat would be brought back for additional <br />review. The revised plat is not expected until January or February of 2004. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Riverblood stated during the 2003 platting of Rivenwick 3rd <br />Addition, there was a consensus that improvements to the existing Riverdale Park should occur <br />as soon as possible to serve new residents this plat was bringing to the area. In addition to the <br />existing residential neighborhood, that townhome project brought in 112 more units. Rivenwick <br />Village is projected to bring in approximately 250 additional units. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Riverblood stated the purpose of this case is to consider what <br />park improvements should be constructed, and how those elements may be incorporated into <br />Rivenwick Villages Development Agreement to insure that the recreational needs of the larger <br />neighborhoods are met. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Riverblood stated there was no action required for this item. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated the developer has withdrawn their application and would have to <br />resubmit.
