Commissioner Ostrum stated he does not want to make a motion that is specific to this development. He suggested it be brought back with more generic language. Chairperson Johns stated she would not want to make a recommendation on something generic. Consensus of the Commission was to have staffbring this item back with language that speaks to park dedication but not this particular development. No action necessary. COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT Potential Grant Opportunity with Congressman Oberstar. Civil Engineer II Linton stated at the December 16, 2003 Public Works Committee meeting Mayor Gamec explained that he had a meeting with Congressman Oberstar and he indicated that there might be an opportunity for the City to receive some money for trails through a grant. Some of the projects that he thought could benefit from the funds would be finishing the trail at River Pines up to Elmcrest Park along Trunk Highway 47. Also, the trail on the east and west side of County Road 5 from 153rd to the south and from Sunwood to the north. Civil Engineer II Linton advised he would be proceeding with this. Anoka County Parks and Recreation Committee Agenda. Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Riverblood suggested the Commission change the next meeting to the third Thursday in February because the detailed Town Center plan will not be ready until then. Consensus of the Commission was to change the February meeting the third Thursday, which would be February 19, 2004 at 6 p.m. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner Shryock, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
