RESOLUTION NO. 33 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING ANOKA COUNTY BOARD RESOLUTION #77-30 AND <br />SEEKING RESPONSE TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT'S QUESTIONS ON REGIONAL <br />GOVERNMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council supports the Anoka County Board's <br />Resolution #77-30, requesting a joint committee to study all <br />ramifications of regional government; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council has had repeated contact with <br />regional levels of government in its management of local affairs; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council expects regional support and assistance <br />rather than regional control and direction; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the increased cost of local qovernment operation due to <br />the involvement of regional government can be shown, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED b.v the Ramsey City Council that the <br />proposed joint committee specificall.y investigate the increased <br />cost of local government operations due to regional involvement <br />and be able to analyze a benefit, <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, copies of this resolution be forwarded to <br />Governor Perpich and Anoka County's Congressional and legislative <br />delegations. <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of March 1977. <br /> <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
