RESOLUTION 45 <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT AND RESOLUTION <br />(1) AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />(2) REPEAL OF THE CITY'S EXISTING ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> AND ADOPTION OF A NEW ZONING ORDINANCE <br />(3) ADOPTION OF SEWAGE DISPOSAL ORDINANCE <br />(4) ADOPTION OF A SOILS ORDINANCE <br />(5) ADOPTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY'S SUBDIVISION <br /> ORDINANCE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the City's Planning <br />Commission to undertake an amendment to the City's original <br />Comprehensive Plan dated July, 1973, said action being pur- <br />suant to M.S.A. 462.355, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said plan amendment is entitled, "City of Ramsey <br />Urban Planning District Study Report," and is hereinafter re- <br />ferred to as "Plan Amendment," and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Plan Amendment has been completed and was <br />transmitted by the City's Planning Commission to the City <br />Council on Mar~29, 1976, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, without taking further action, on March 29, 1976 <br />the City Council forwarded the Plan Amendment to the ~4etro- <br />politan Council for its review, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council staff has reviewed the <br />Plan Amendment and the City's planning staff in response to <br />that review has made certain amendments to said Plan Amend- <br />ment, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's planning staff held an informational <br />meeting on June 2, 1977 at which time the plan amendment was <br />reviewed with interested individual property owners and at <br />which time the said owner's ideas and concerns were reviewed <br />and taken into consideration, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Planning Commission held a public <br />hearing on said Plan Amendment and proposed ordinance prior <br />to which notice of said hearing was published in the Anoka <br />County Union, the City's legal newspaper on June 17 and June 24, <br />1977. Also, a news article and proposed new zoning map was <br />published on June 24, 1977 in the Anoka County Union, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Planning Commission adopted Findings <br />of Fact on July 11, 1977 concerning the "Plan Amendment" and <br />its implementing ordinance, which findings were submitted to <br />the City Council at its July 25, 1977 meeting, and <br /> <br /> <br />
