Mr. Reimann moved <br />we adopt the following~esolution: Whereas~ certain areas o~f t~ <br />City of Ramsey are subject to periodic flooding from the Mississippi <br />River, the Rum River and its tributaries~ which may cause serious <br />damage to properties~ within these areas~'~and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, relief authorized by the National Flood Insurance Act of <br />1968 as amended is available; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Ramsey <br />to comply with land use management criteria regulations as required <br />in said Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council of the City of Ramsey <br />to evaluate and officially recognize flood hazards in considering <br />land use actions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the enabling legislation to adopt land use control measures <br />contained in Minnesota Statutes Sections ~62 ,35~ to ~62,36~ (The <br />Municipal Planning Act), and Minnesota Statutes Chapter 104 (Flood <br />Plain Management) is available to the City of Ramsey: <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Ramsey hereby assures the Federal Insurance Administration as folloWs: <br /> <br /> (1) That the responsibility and authority is hereby assigned to <br />the City Zoning Administrator to: <br /> <br /> <br />
