RESOLUTION NO. ~ <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A TRAFFIC STUDY AT THE RAMSEY ELEMENTARY <br />SCHOOL ZONE ON COUNTY HIGHWAY NO. 5 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a school zone has been established on County Highway No. 5 <br />at the location of the Ramsey Elementary School in the City of Ramsey, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the present speed limit of 50 mph in the school zone creates an <br />extremely hazardous condition to the small children attending Ramsey <br />Elementary School who have direct access to the highway, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the considerate opinion of the members of the City Council <br />of the City of Ramsey that the speed limit in the school zone should be <br />lowered to 35 mph in accordance with Minnesota Statute 169.14, Subd. 5a. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ramsey, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota, requests a traffic study as subscribed by the <br />commissioner of highways in the above mentioned school zones and such <br />study to be undertaken as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Adopted this 12th day of April, 1976. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLE[~K <br /> <br /> <br />
