Develop and recommend methods to stimulate positive public <br />interest in the park and recreation functions. <br /> <br />5. Monitor and reflect attitudes and consensus of citizens <br />relative to the park system and recreation programs and serve as <br />a forum for the citizens to voice their opinions regarding the <br />park and recreation function. <br /> <br />6. Promote coordination with the school district serving Rams ey, <br />encouraging the interchangeable use of city and school district <br />facilities and programs to the best interests of the citizens. <br /> <br />7. Encourage dissemination of information to, and coordinate with, <br />Ramsey organizations interested in the park and recreation function <br />such as athletic groups, youth groups, civic organizations, ~t¢. <br /> <br />8. Develop and recommend feasible programs relative to the <br />conservation of our environment. <br /> <br />9. Encourage coordination wi~h other communities to the extent <br />appropriate in matters pertinent to the park and recreation function. <br /> <br />Subdivision 5. COMPOSIT~ON: The Commission shall be composed of <br />a chairman and eight members, all of whom shall be appointed and <br />serve as set forth in Subdivision 6. <br /> <br />Subdivision 6. <br />REMOVAL: <br /> <br />MEMBERS METHOD OF SELECTION - TERM OF OFFICE <br /> <br />CHAI~RMAN: The Chairman shall be selected annually by a majority <br />vote of the Commission. The Chairman may be removed by a majority <br />vo~e of the Commission. The Chairman shall have the following <br />responsibilities in addition to those otherwise described herein: <br /> <br />I. Preside over all meetings of the Commission. <br />2. Appear or appoint a representative to appear, as necessary <br /> before the City advisory commissions and the City Council <br /> to present the viewpoint of the Commission on matters <br /> pertaining to the park and recreation function as it <br /> relates to business under consideration by said commission <br /> or City Council: <br />3. Review all City Council, Planning Commission and other <br /> advisory commission minutes and inform the ~ark and <br /> Recreation Commission of matters relevant to the park and <br /> and recreation function. <br />4. Provide liaison with other governmental and volunteer <br /> units in matters relating to the park and recreation function. <br /> <br />VICE CHAIRMAN: A Vice Chairman shall be appointed annually by <br />the Ch'airman. The Vice Chairman shall perform such duties as may <br />may be assigned by the Chairman and shall assume responsibilities <br />of the Chair in the absence of the Chairman, j <br /> <br /> <br />
