I I I I I I I I I e Commission consensus is that the election polling places will be the three regular polling places already established in Ramsey and not reduced to one common polling place. Commissioner Gamec stated that the two time publishing costs of the charter in a legal newspaper will cost from $700-$1000. There will also be about a $90 charge for publishing two notices of the election. Commissioner Data stated that the 'Ramsey Resident' would have been the perfect way to inform citizens of the charter Summary and is there a possibility of this publication being resumed. Commissioner Gamec stated that it was very doubtful and not to cou~t on it. Co~missioner Gamec stated that he has now reworked the Charter Commission Budget down to about $3500-$4000. Commissioner Bauerkemper stated that she has talke~ with Mr. Bill Dom and he stated that a $500 legal allowance would be plenty. Status Of Legal Fee Error Correction - CumaLissioner Bauerkem~er: C~,~Lissioner Bauerkemper stated that the initial legal fees incurred during the forming of the-Charter Commission have been removed from the Charter Commission Budget. Summary Of Charter Commission Expenditures Through July - Commissioner Bauerkem~er: Commissioner Bauerkemper stated that the only costs incurred thus far to the Charter Commission are $30 postage and stenographer fees. The City Accountant is attempting to work out a procedure by which the Charter Commission can receive monthly statements of their expenditures but if this cannot be accomplished the Charter ~Co~-~ission Budget can be pulled from the Council agenda that is provided at the 4th Tuesday of the month Council meeting. Chairman Heitman requested that Commissioner Bauerkemper strive for obtaining a monthly statement of Charter commission expenditures for the Charter Commission information. I I I I I B. Information Committees 1. Public Opinion Committee - Commissioners Sieber and Buchanan: Co~missioner Sieber stated that he and Chairman Heitman attended a' meeting of the Economic Development Com~ssion and brought EDC up to date as far as the Charter Commission is Concerned. Boards and commissions were discussed specifically at this meeting a~d!.Commissioner .Fults was in favor of commissions having more power but also felt that it was best for elected officials to appoint their advisors. EDC consensus was that it was best'left as is, boards and commissions being appointed.
