PC CASE <br /> <br /> CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br />PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In Februm~y 2004 the Public Works Maintenance position was advertised. Approximately <br />90 applications were received and seven candidates were interviewed. Based on the <br />interview panel's review, staff is recommending that Jeff Reimann be hired for the Public <br />Works Maintenance Worker position. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending Jeff Reimann for the position of full-time Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker at a starting wage of $16.03/hr, plus benefits. Mr. Reimann's <br />appointment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background and <br />reference checks and passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
