I

I

I

TO:

FROM:

RE:

DATE:

City Administrator

City Assessor

Monthly Assessing Report

December 15, 1983

I attended the last day of the short course on December 7, 1983. This was a make-up
day for the ZSth of November which was cancelled because of the snow storm.

I average 1.5 to Z hours a day doing inspections and other work in the building department.
This fluctuates from day to day depending on Clayton's work in other departments.

Whenever weather permits, I've been out in the field covering the remaining portion
of the 1984 assessment. On stormy and cold days I've been working on the completed
1983 new construction. The incompleted portion will have to be done after January
Z, 1984.

I have completed coding about 50% of the land values as to type of soil and building
sites. All building sites are based on one acre of land. If the lots are more than one
acre, the portion over one acre has to be shown as tillable, wooded, sub-marginal or
low land, The tillable and buildable wooded soil is $1,000 to SI,Z00 per acre according
according to where it is located in the City. The other types of land values are uniform
throughout the City.

I will have a completed ratio study on the remaining sales for 1983 in my January report.

This concludes my report.

Submitted by,

Lester D, Wirz
City Assessor

/pjc
