The Building Official will be the most involved individual and in view of his other <br />duties we may be looking at part-time help both in the building department and clerical <br />assistance. This amount is not included in the estimated $6,000. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey has always prided itself in having its citizens pay for what they <br />receive but with these type of costs that we have excluded from the budget, we may <br />have a hard time allocating a fee cost because of the nature of the work, as citizens <br />will be seeking time to discuss the requirements of the on-site septic system <br />maintenance program which may require a trip out to the individual's property. The <br />ordinance does address how charges could be levied where Staff actually goes out <br />and locates a system. <br /> <br />Summary: The City Staff is very skeptical about whether the part-time help will <br />be adequate, due to the current workload we now have. We are having a difficult <br />time in meeting commitments being put on us at the present time by the City of <br />Ramsey. Consequently, we want to be able to come to Council if problems develop <br />and be able to get additional help if it becomes necessary. <br /> <br />LGS:pjc <br /> <br /> <br />
