I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br /> 4) The portions of any buried sewer more than fifty (50) feet <br />from a well shall be constructed of material as approved by the State Plumbing <br />Code. <br /> <br /> 5) Ail joints between pipes and fittings in the building sewer <br />shall have watertight and root-tight joints. Portland cement mortar joints <br />shall not be allowed. Lines shall provide a grade of not less than one-eighth <br />(1/8) inch per foot. Where building sewers exceed fifth (50) feet in length, <br />lines shall provide a grade which will allow a flow velocity of not less than <br />two (2) feet per second. In no case shall the grade exceed two percent (2.0%). <br />Ail changes of grade shall be by means of long sweep ells. Where long sweep <br />ells are not used and where the direction changes by more than twenty and one- <br />half (20~) degmees, accessible watertight cleanouts shall be provided. <br /> <br />150.014C SEPTIC TANKS <br /> <br />Subd. i GENERAL <br /> <br />Ail tanks, regardless of material or method of construction, shall be: <br /> <br />a) One (1) piece~ precast; <br />b) Watertight; <br />c) So designed and constructed as to withstand all lateral earth <br /> pressures under saturated soil conditions with the tank empty; <br />d) So designed and constructed as to withstand a minimum of seven <br /> (7) feet of saturated earth cover above the tank top; <br />e) Not subject to excessive corrosion or decay. <br /> <br />Subd. 2 DESIGN <br /> <br />Ail tanks, regardless of material or method of construction, shall conform to the <br />following design criteria. <br /> <br /> 1) The liquid depth of any septic tank or compartment thereof shall <br />be no less than thirty (30) inches, A liquid depth greater than six and one-half <br />(6~) feet shall not be considered in determining tank capacity. <br /> <br /> 2) N.o tank or compartment thereof shall have an inside horizontal <br />dimension less than twenty-four (24) inches. <br /> <br /> <br />
