I CASE #6: <br /> CASE ~7: <br /> <br />Motion by and seconded by to a~prcvc/disapprove <br />of entering into a contract with MAPSI for animal control for year 1984. <br />{If Council disapproves, you are going to have to give direction on what you <br />want done.) Further, to authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to sign <br />said document. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes <br />Voting no . <br /> <br />QUAD CITIES CABLE COMMUNICATION COMMISSION: <br /> <br />Councilpersons have been concerned about the level of service that is being given <br />to citizens in Ramsey and also why the fine was not levied against Group W. <br />Accordingly, enclosure (I)3-e) contains copies of the Quad Cities Cable <br />Communication Commission's meeting minutes for that period of time that the <br />Commission discussed levying a fine against Group W. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to note that you received the above documents <br />and to take any other action you may want to direct. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS (A. GRADE CROSSING REVIEW REGARDING PUMA STREET <br /> <br />NW; B. LEGISLATION REGARDING TAX INCREMENT BONDS; C. FEDERAL <br />REVENUE SHARING REENACTMENT; D. MN/DOTS LETTER REGARDING <br />THE CHANGING OF MSA DESIGNATION TO CERTAIN ROADS): <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />The following is hereby submitted on this case: <br /> <br /> a) Grade crossing review regarding Puma Street NW - Back in September <br />1983, Council requested that the Minnesota Department of Transportation do <br />a study on this crossing in regards to placing a stop sign at the subject crossing. <br />Enclosure (D3-f) contains Mn/DoT's reply, and our letter to them. <br /> <br />Council Action: No action is required other than to note you have reviewed <br />the contents of the subject enclosure. <br /> <br /> b) Legislation regarding industrial revenue bonds - Enclosure (D3-p,) contains <br />a reply from Congressman Bill Frenzel regarding Congress' proposed legislation <br />to severly restrict the use of the IDB. We haven't heard from our Representative <br />Sikorski or our two U. S. Senators. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have review this. <br /> <br /> c) Federal revenue sharing reenactment - Enclosure (D3-h) contains the League <br />of Minnesota Cities' memo dated December 8, 1983 stating that federal revenue <br />sharing will be with us through September 30, 1986. If we have to have federal <br />grant programs, this has to be the best program for cities like Ramsey. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have reviewed the above <br />enclosure. <br /> <br /> d) Mn/DoT's letter regarding the changing of MSA designation to certai~ <br />roads - Enclosure (D3-i) is furnished for your information. <br /> <br />Council Action: Please note that you reviewed this document. <br /> <br /> <br />
