The Act provides for compensatory damages including those <br />for mental anguish or suffering. Punitive damages are also allowed, but <br />are limited to $6,000. Punitive damages may only be assessed against a <br />political subdivision in its capacity as a corporate entity (M.S. 363.071 <br />subd. 2 copy enclosed). <br /> <br />! hope this information is helpful.
