I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE <br />AIRPORT COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey Airport Commission was' held on Wednesday, <br />December 14, 1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Ippel, Chairman <br />Mr. Dennis Donovan <br />Ms. Jeanne Moen <br />Mr. Chuck Soderholm <br />Mr. Don Greenberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Koshak - Hakanson/Anderson Engineering <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Patz <br />Mr. Dick Sieber <br />Mr. John Siebert <br />Mr. Bill Morrow <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel called the meeting to order at 7:46 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel stated that after last month's Airport Commission meeting it <br />became obvious that a comprehensive master airport plan is needed. Hakanson/ <br />Anderson was instructed to put together a proposal for this master airport plan. <br />Hakanson/Anderson has met with the Department of Transportation, Aeronautics <br />Division, regarding a proposal outline and what Hakanson/Anderson is proposing <br />is what the State would like to see accomplished. Tne State would prefer a <br />quality study in order to obtain a total picture of the situation. State <br />participation on a study of this type would be 80% rather than 2/3 of the cost. <br />Mr. Koshak is present tonight with a brief outline on the proposal, it's contents <br />and the associated costs. <br /> <br />Mr. Koshak - Hakanson/Anderson - Stated that what Hakanson/Anderson is proposing <br />for a study, is in the realm of what the State is looking for. Mr. Koshak <br />introduced Merland Otto of Ralph Burke Associates, an airport planning firm <br />located in New Hope. Mr. Koshak stated that Ralph Burke Associates is very <br />familiar with the airport master plan program throughout the United State~. <br />Mr. Koshak stated that the State feels a master' airport plan regarding Ramsey <br />Industrial Airport is appropriate at this time, that enough piece meal studies <br />have been performed.
