Why should the citizens
of Ramsey be denied their fair share of grant money just because the
property happens to be located on the wrong side of the boundary line?

We would like to see the Metropolitan Council address our problem as
a unique one. In the future we hope the Council will modify their
policy on urban vs. rural and look at the total needs of the con~nunityo

Hopefully in the future as your Council looks at our total needs, the
letter will not state "since Ramsey Central Park is in the Rural Service
Area and the project is athletic fields, the Council will not review
the application."

Sincerely,

CITY OF RAMSEY

Dennis Donovan
Chairman
Park and Recreation Commission

Enclosure

DD:pjc
