This
cost is based on a completely integrated computer system. Ms. Carroll
has an excellent background in computers, as well as an understanding
of the approach that Ramsey is considering in computerization.

Optional services are available to the City upon completion of
the study only if they become necessary:

1) Orientation of elected officials and staff
2) Development and delivery of customized software and
hardware training programs
3) Pre-delivery system configuration and customization
4) Development of user manuals
5) Other consulting, writing and training services as needed

Ms. Carroll has stated that it is more appropriate that these services
be written into the bid specifications and be required of the hardware/
software vendor. The vendor is in the best position to establish
procedures, conduct training sessions and provide the additional
support needed to work into a computer system.

This bid is n~t only the lowest cost, but the competence_of the
individual subr,)itting the proposal, and the manner ~hey'ds~ to
bring in outside information clearly shows that this is the best

#2 Curry &Associates, Marianne Curry and Dave McCauley .
The cost quoted in the proposal i'~ $5,76J~':Which includes-specifi-
cations on'a word processing syst(~i~"analysis of bids, and a
recommendation based on the bids. If .the City were to exercise
the option of insta) ling a completely integrated computer sys~e)a
form all applications, the cost of this study (as roughly estimated
by Ms. Curry and Mr. McCauley) would increase approximately $4,000-
$5,400.
