Mem~rs Present= Co~cilman A1 Sorteberg Also Present= City A~m!nistrator Lloyd Schneile , ' ~uilding Official Clayton Berg Chief of Police Mike Aus~s Public Works Su~rintendent Merle Mevtssen The meeting was called to order at 4:45 p.m. The Personnel Co~tttee has aske~ that the City A~inistrator put a letter.' in each employee's file that was intervtewe~, stating that they have met with the Personnel Co~ittee on an individual basis. They wish to note that Michael Stenquist did not meet with the Personnel Co~ittee, as he was satisfie~ with his working relationship with the Ci[y. City Ad~nistrator Schnelle noted that Bruce Bacon, the City's tree weed ins~=tor, has done an outstanding lob for the City. Motion by Cduncilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to recommend that Council approve of the part-time employee salary increases as shown in enclosure (3} which is attached as part of these minutes. Motion ~arried. Voting yes: Councilmembers Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no:None. Case J4: Health Insurance: Bu~Idin9· Official Berg informed the Personnel Committee that a 15% to 20% increase is anticipated for health insurance. This would amount to approximately $35 on the average premium. Councilman Reimann recommends a $15 increase. Councilman Sorteberg stated, that if we only increase: t't $15, we .would b~ ' running behind. Councilman Reimann stated that!, he thinks it would be fair if the City payed half of the increase, and the employee picked up the other half. Otherwise, where wil! it stop? Motion by Councilman Reimann' and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg that a $15 increase to the health insurance premium be recommended to Council. Motion carried.
