Members Present: Also Present: Councilman A1 Sorteberg Councilman Gary Reimann City A~ministrator Lloyd Schneile ~ ' Building Official Clayton Berg Chief of Police Mike Auspos Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen The meeting was called to order at 4:45 p.m. The Personnel Committee has asked that the City Administrator put a lettef~' in each employee's file that was interviewed, stating that they have met with the Personnel Committee on an individual basis. They wish to note that Michael Stenquist did not meet with the Personnel Committee, as he was satisfied with his working relationship with the City. Case [3: Proposed Salar]~ Increases for Part-time Personnel: City Administrator Schnelle noted that Bruce Bacon, the City's tree and weed inspector, has done an outstanding job for the City. Motion by Cduncilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to recommend that Council approve of the part-time employee salary increases as shown in enclosure (3) which is attached as part of these minutes. Motion ~arried. Voting yes: Councilmembers Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. se t4: Health Insurance: ' Bu~ding Official Berg informed the Personnel Committee that a 15% increase is anticipated for health insurance. This would amount to approximately $35 on the average premium. Councilman Reimann recommends a $15 increase. Councilman Sorteberg stated, that if we only increase: i't $15, we .would b~ running behind. Councilman Reimann stated that: he thinks it would be fair if the City payed half of the increase, and the employee picked up the other half. Otherwise, where wil! it stop? Motion by councilman Reimann' and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg that a $15 increase to the health insurance premium be recommended to Council. Voting yes: Councilmembers Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting Motion carried. no: None.
