The Franchise, incorporated by reference, <br />the proposal of Group W Cable of the Ouad Cities, Inc., which included not only <br />a vast cable distribution network, but detailed plans for the providing of ser- <br />vice to the cities in the area of local origination and public access, home <br />security devices, two-way data transmission, and numerous interactive services <br />such as remotemeter reading, burR'ular/fire alarm, and peak-load energy- <br />manaffe~ent services. <br /> <br />In June of 1983, the Ouad Cities Cable Ccgrrr~nications CaTmissionwas informed by <br />Group W that they w~uld not have the construction of the cable ccrrmunieations <br />svstem eom~leted by June 11, 1983. After considerable discussion with Group W, <br />the (3uad Cities C~ble C~m"runieations Ccnmission agreed to amend the Offering of <br />Group W at Form H, Paffe 1 of 5 Section 1 to state: <br /> <br />a. On or before Septen~er 12, 1983, Group W shall construct all areas <br /> of the initial service area, as designated in the rraps attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit "A", hereby rvade a part hereof, which contain <br /> dwelling units so that dwelling units along the route of the <br /> energized cable will have individual drops within ten (10) days of <br /> request for same. Said dwelling units shall receive all services <br /> identified in the Offering of the Grantee as TIERS I and II. <br /> <br /> <br />
