WAGNER rl~'~E: SeDte-nber 1.5, 108.'1 I q~:, C~uad Ci ties Cable C~rm~nicat ion Ccm~i ssion I RE,: Status of Construction and Issuance of Fine I I I i I I I I Group W Cable of the Ouad Cities, Inc. was awarded a cable coqmunications franchise by the cities of Anoka, Andover, Charrplin, and Ramsey, Minnesota, which Ms effective and certified by the State Cable Cam~nications Board of the State of Minnesota on June 11, 1982. The Franchise, incorporated by reference, the proposal of Group W Cable of the Ouad Cities, Inc., which included not only a vast cable distribution network, but detailed plans for the providing of ser- vice to the cities in the area of local origination and public access, home security devices, two-way data transmission, and numerous interactive services such as remotemeter reading, burR'ular/fire alarm, and peak-load energy- manaffe~ent services. In June of 1983, the Ouad Cities Cable Ccgrrr~nications CaTmissionwas informed by Group W that they w~uld not have the construction of the cable ccrrmunieations svstem eom~leted by June 11, 1983. After considerable discussion with Group W, the (3uad Cities C~ble C~m"runieations Ccnmission agreed to amend the Offering of Group W at Form H, Paffe 1 of 5 Section 1 to state: a. On or before Septen~er 12, 1983, Group W shall construct all areas of the initial service area, as designated in the rraps attached hereto as Exhibit "A", hereby rvade a part hereof, which contain dwelling units so that dwelling units along the route of the energized cable will have individual drops within ten (10) days of request for same. Said dwelling units shall receive all services identified in the Offering of the Grantee as TIERS I and II.
