Your action will be to review this subject and make a recom- mendation to the Council. RAMSEY CITY PARK DEVELOPMENT - RUM RIVER SITE: Mr. Arnold Cox will be present to bring the Park and Recreation Commission up to date on the recent developments of the Rum River site for a City park. Enclosure (D2-b) contains a copy of the resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 31, 1983 which outlines the stipulations on the development of this land as a City park. CANOE ACCF~' FROM RUM RIVER SITE: - Mr.'B~ll· Rustad has'arranged'f~r Mr. Del Barber of the Depart- merit-of'Natural Resources to attend the Park meeting and dis- cuss th~ canoe ac6ess from the Rum River park site. RENAMING OF "CENTRAL PARK" - PRO OR CON: At the June, 1983 Park meeting the subject was brought up whether or not to keep the name of "Central Park" or rename it. It was requested this subject be placed on the July agenda for your discussion, pro or con. If you are to rename it, it should be done as soon as possible before people get too used to referring to it as "Central Park". If you decide you would like to change the name, a recommendation should be made to the Council for their action. REPORT ON "CENTRAL PARK" DEVELOPMENT FROM THE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR: Sylvia Gamec will be present to bring the Park and Recreation Commission up to date on the recent developments in Central Park. CHARTER INPUT COMMITTEE: At the June meeting, Mr. Dick Seiber of the Charter Commission, met with the Park and Recreation Commission and requested in- put regarding the preparation of a City Charter. It was re- quested this be placed on the agenda for the July meeting for further discussion as several members were absent who might wish to have input in this area. The Charter Input Commission will not be present for the July meeting, however, Mr. McLean has stated he will answer questions and receive input regard- ing this subject and pass it on to Mr. Seiber and Mr. Buchanan.
