Anoka C~ty Hall Anoka, MN Refreshments will be served Why ~ How ~ The Metropolitan Council has recently completed a study of services for older people in Anoka county that identified a number of m~met service needs. No~ discussions are needed to determine how these needs can be met through creative use of resources already available at the local level. All older people fn the community as well as representatives of local churches, civic or~ani.zations, and local elected officials are invited to attend. Those who attend will discuss practical ways that groups in your area can help provide needed services to older people. The result will be suggestions for specific actions that local Stoups and organizations can take to improve services in your area. These sug~estions will be included in an overall plan for services to older people in Anoka County that the Metropolitan Council will develop. A public hearing on this plan will be held in late November. YOUR IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS A~E IMPORTANT! SO PLaN TO ATTEND!
