Th~ board's <br /> 8 membership shall include the ~ollowing: <br /> 9 (a) one representative o~ a cable company which operates in <br /> 10 th~ metropolitan area; <br /> 11 {b) one franchise administrator of a franchising authority <br /> <br /> 12 in the metropolitan area; ~ :' <br /> <br /> 13 ' (c) three cable service territory commissioners or <br /> 14 elected officials from th9 metropolitan area; <br /> 15 (d) three representatives of ~rganizations which furnish <br /> 16 programs and services for the metropolitan channel; and <br /> 17 (e) three members of the ~eneral public. <br /> 18 Ihe metropolitan council shal~ designate one member of the <br /> lO board as chair. One member of the metropolitan council and one <br /> 20 member of the cable communications board shall serve as ex <br /> ~l officio members of the board. <br /> 22 Subd. 2. [TERMS. ) The initia~ appointments t~ ghe board <br /> '~3 sha~l be for terms of one, two, or three years, as ~etermined by <br /> 'Z4' tb~ metropolitan council. ~owever, no more than one-third of <br /> 25 the board member~' terms shall expire in any year a.h~ no more <br /> 26 th~ two vacancies out of three i~ categories with three <br /> ~7 representatives shall expire at the same time.
