Eco -Star Program
Do you know somebody (or a business) who has converted a por-
tion of their yard into a rain garden or maybe even converted some or
all of their yard into a prairie? How about someone that has installed
a solar energy or wind energy system for their home or business? If
so, why not consider nominating them for an Eco -Star award? The
Ramsey Environmental Policy Board has developed a new program
intended to promote and highlight efforts made by individuals,
groups, or businesses whose voluntary endeavors result in a cleaner,
healthier, and more sustainable community. We are always looking
for new projects that have been implemented that help create a more
sustainable community. Depending on the scope of the project, rec-
ognition may be through an advisory board (such as the Environmen-
tal Policy Board or Park and Recreation Commission) or through the
City Council.
Information about the Eco -Star Program can be found on the
City's website at www. cityoframsey.com/ecostar. Why not help
promote the positive actions of a neighbor, friend or business. The
nomination process is simple and those successful projects will be
highlighted on the website and possibly in a future edition of the
Ramsey Resident. If you have questions about this program or would
like to nominate a person, group or business for an Eco -Star award,
please contact City Planner Chris Anderson at 763- 433 -9817 or can-
derson@cityoframsey.com.
f
r : Barnett Family Dentistry
Dr. Terry L.
