Mr. Alsdurf volunteered to see that letters are mailed to each of the above <br />commission members regarding the company stock sale prior to each of their <br />respective meetings. <br /> <br />Consensus was that a letter would be mailed to each of the businesses that have <br />not yet responded to the company stock sale; that letter will be followed up by <br />a phone call from one of the Company members. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca volunteered to attend the Commission meetings with Mr. Hardin. <br /> <br />Company consensus was to utilize the Ramsey Resident newsletter to publicize <br />the Economic Development Company and the new City brochure. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik was asked to provide local businesses with extra copies of each <br />newsletter publication. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner stated that if the Company's paramount goal is to promote Ramsey, <br />then more people will have to be appointed to the Promotional Subcommittee. <br /> <br />Discussion Raaard!na_M~nnasota Department Of. Energy And EcoDomic~ <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that he met with A1 Kelly from the Minnesota Department of <br />Energy and Economic Development to discuss various funding programs the State <br />has to encourage economic develounent. Mr. Kelly stressed the Minnesota Fund, <br />Omni 503 Program and Small Business Develol~ment Loan Program. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that the State has allocated all their funds for this fiscal <br />year and is hesitant to commit to next year until the outcome of the budget <br />cuts are known. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that any leads to incoming businesses should be referred to <br />the Finance Subcommittee and they in turn should get in touch with Mr. Kelly. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca inquired if Ramsey will be referring SBA applications to the Coon <br />Rapids Development Company for processing. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that not all of the Anoka County cities were in favor of <br />handling SBA loans through the Coon ]Rapids Economic Development Company and <br />negotiations are in progress.
