commercial/industrial properties; the only survey they know of is their Image
report and they did not collaborate with AVTI on it; will continue to pursue
information.

Mr. Hardin reported that the cover letter/survey form regarding the inventory
of businesses and commercial/industrial properties has been drafted and will be
forwarded to Mr. Alsdurf's-f~ for printing. S_i-F~,~_~

~ Discussion Regarding Status Of Information Packet:

Mr. Alsdurf presented examples of information packet cover folders that could
be worked up for Ramsey. Mr. Alsdurf stated that he would provide more
examples of cover folders that represent a wider price range and samples of
information packets from other communities at the next Board meeting.

Qase #4: Appearance By Roger Jensen Regarding Anoka County Economic
Development Partnership:

Mr. Sensen stated that the Partnership is a non-profit organization formed to
promote economic development in the County with most of it's revenue provided
by contributions from private industry. The Partnership has established a 12
month action plan to promote economic development by matching locational assets
with locational criteria of growing industry. Mr. Jensen distributed and
reviewed with the Commission information contained in Attachment I to these
minutes. Mr. Jensen suggested that Ramsey evaluate it's strengths, weaknesses
and opportunities and establish a plan and market strategy to attract the types
of businesses desired in Ramsey. Ramsey should also design a program to assist
small businesses and continue to pursue a business incubator project. The
Partnership provides prospective companies with information regarding what is
available in Anoka County; suggest that the Partnership be provided with
information regarding Ramsey's industrial park. Mr. Jensen strongly
recommended that Ramsey go through a strategic planning process which should
result in an action plan; important part of that action plan is marketing.

Discussion Regarding Inventory Of Commercial/Industrial

Mr. Fults was not present.

Case~5: Information On Business Incubator Pro~ect:

Mr. Hardin stated that it has been determined that the Kovar building is not an
ideal location for a business incubator facility because of extensive building
improvements that would be required.
