Promotional Subcommittee - <br /> <br />No report at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Ippel was present and stated that, by chance, he met with Duane <br />Lundeen of Chips on 10. At that meeting, Mr. Lundeen indicated that he <br />assumed once he had Planning an~ Zoning'$ recommendation to approve his <br />request to use the second floor of his addition to his business as a <br />residence, there would be no problems at Council level. On that <br />assumption, he put his home up for sale. The request was denied, the home <br />sold and the Lundeen's were left without a place to live. Mr. Lundeen also <br />doesn't feel there is any difference between a residence in a commercial <br />area than a business in a residential area. Mr. Ippel stated that he <br />offered his personal assistance to Mr. Lundeen and told him about the <br />Economic Development Company and it's purpose in assisting new and existing <br />businesses. <br /> <br />The members reviewed the Ramsey ad contained in the recent advertising <br />mailer organized by the developers of Flintwood and River's Bend and <br />distributed throughout the northern metro area. <br /> <br />Case #2: Update On "D~scover Ramsey"; <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin presented a draft of the registration forms that will be used <br />for participation in Discover Ramseyo Some minor adjustments were made to <br />the draft. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that Ramsey has been invited to have a booth at the Game <br />Fair; tent rental would be $150.00; it is hoped the Ramsey video will be <br />completed and ready for displaying at the Game Fair. <br /> <br />Mr. Kurak suggested that extra copies of the recent advertising mailer, <br />organized by the developers of Fintwood Hills and River's Bend, in which <br />Ramsey had a front page ad be obtained for distribution during the Game <br />Fair. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that the Discover Ramsey committee is working on <br />obtaining corporate sponsors and advertising. <br /> <br />Case #5; Update On Highway 10 Corridor Stu'dy: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris reported that the Highway 10 Study Committee met on June 18 to <br />determine issues that should be covered in the study and then to prioritize <br />those issues. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris gave an update on Council action taken on June 23 regarding the <br />realignment of Hwy. #47. <br /> <br />Case #4: Discussion Regardimg Confidentiality O~ Company Busings-s-; <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio suggested that the Company Loan Committee take care of Company <br />business considered to be of a confidential nature and the Board meetings <br />could be of a substance that would be open to the public. <br /> <br />Economic Development Company/July 2, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
