Promotional Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Stock Sales - Mr. Hardin reported that Mr. Wagner would have the <br />exact figure but he thinks 20-30 stock were sold during the <br />Business Expo. <br /> <br />ii. Business Liaison - No report. <br /> <br />iii. Promotional Materials - No report. <br /> <br />iv. News Articles - No report. <br /> <br />Case #2: Re.VieW "Discover Ramsey": <br /> <br />The Board members reviewed the responses to the written survey of <br />participants in the Business Expo. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin noted that the responses are positive enough to justify <br />conducting another Business Expo in 1988. <br /> <br />Through the ensuing discussion, the following considerations were <br />identified as possible ways to improve on the Business Expo: 1) Holding <br />the Expo during a period of year when weather is more pleasant might <br />attract participants that desire to have outdoor displays; 2) Arrangement <br />of booths in the Ramsey Gym in a east/west direction for better visibility <br />of all participants by visitors; 3) Having local organizations or signage <br />directing visitors to proper Expo entrance and not using doors that must be <br />left open for fire safety purposes; 4) Invite all Company shareholders to <br />the initial planning meeting for the 1988 Expo to promote involvement. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca noted that the Company could also promote a sense of being <br />involved by sending a couple of newsletters/year to the shareholders. <br /> <br />Mr. DeLuca suggested that letters of appreciation be sent to those <br />businesses that actively advertise 'Ramsey' as the business location; <br />letters encouraging advertising 'Ramsey' as the location should be sent to <br />those businesses that do not do so. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discussion Regarding Separation Between Company And City; <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin stated that the issue of separation between Company and City has <br />been discussed in the past; the Board needs to set some direction on this <br />issue. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the need to get more of the Company <br />shareholders involved in the Company in order to separate the Company from <br />the Economic Development Commission also; this effort would get twice as <br />Economic Development Company/December 2, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
