many people working towards economic development goals. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Miller and seconded by Mr. Raudio establishing that the <br />Ramsey Economic Development Company will continue to function as it <br />currently does; that the issue of separation between Company and City and <br />the State's decision on Ramsey's request for confidentiality in Company <br />matters will be discussed at the next Annual Shareholders Meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mr. Hardin, Mr. Raudio, Mr. Kurak, Mr. Fults, <br />Mr. Miller and Mr. DeLuca. Voting No: None. Absent: Mr. Greenberg and <br />Mr. Wagner. <br /> <br />Case #42 Update On Highway 10 Corridor Study: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that she has been reviewing written comments to the <br />Highway #10 Corridor Study draft. <br /> <br />Mr. Fults dismissed himself from the meeting at this time. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that some of the comments received regarding the Hwy. 10 <br />draft indicate that the final version of the study should be delayed until <br />the airport issue is resolved. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin noted that even if the final version is delayed, there are <br />certain recommendations in the study that should be commenced as soon as <br />possible. <br /> <br />It was noted that there have been discussions by the City regarding the <br />possibility of relocating the Burlington Northern railroad tracks; this may <br />or may not have some bearing on the outcome of the Hwy. #10 study. <br /> <br />Mr. Raudio noted that commercial property develops at a more rapid rate <br />than industrial; if the tracks were relocated, the property along the <br />highway could be developed with commercial uses and property behind the <br />tracks would be appropriate to develop with industrial uses. <br /> <br />~aser#5: Information Stems: <br /> <br />The Board members noted information items contained in the agenda. <br /> <br />Case #6: Other Business; <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin referred to past discussions regarding contacting existing <br />businesses to determine the kinds of complementing businesses they would <br />like to see locate in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin volunteered to draft a letter that would survey area businsses <br />regarding complementing businesses needed in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hardin inquired as to the status of the North Metro Area Traffic Task <br />Force. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris replied that the North Metro Area Traffic Task Force is on hold <br /> Economic Development Company/December 2, 1987 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
