<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg requested that Ms. Norris provide him with a copy of the <br />ordinance Council adopted to establish performance standards for mining, <br />grading and excavating. <br /> <br />Chairman Ippel referred to page 8 of the December 8 City Council minutes <br />and a motion which indicates Council's support of vertical expansion of the <br />existing landfill and noted that he is in favor of anything that will stop <br />the landfill and Site P. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wagner noted that development of an airport does not guarantee <br />landfilling will cease in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel noted that Site P is the only one in the site inventory <br />that is in close proximity to an airport with specific regulations and laws <br />backing it up. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Subcommittee ReDorts: <br /> <br />a) Legislative Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that a comparison of Ramsey's commercial property <br />taxes with those of other communities in Anoka and Sherburne Counties <br />should be available at the next EDC meeting. <br /> <br />b) Economic and Finance Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Hardin noted that the cabinet shop currently located in the <br />Parabody building is looking for a larger building to relocate to. <br /> <br />c) Publicity Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel reported that the Ramsey video should be completed in <br />about one week. <br /> <br />d) Business Incubator Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel reported that the subcommittee should have a report <br />drafted in about one month. <br /> <br />e) Frontage Road Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that he has received information back from the <br />State regarding procedures for developing along and accesses to highways. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ippel gave a status report on the acquisition of easements for <br />Front Street and sewer and water improvements south of Hwy. #10. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris reported that Council will hold a public hearing on January 26 <br />regarding sewer and water improvements east from Sunfish Lake Blvd. to <br />Tungsten Street, south of Hwy #10. <br /> <br />Economic Development Commission/January 13, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />
