Leah Crabtree <br />Administrative Assistant for Personnel <br /> Department of Administration <br /> <br /> BROWN COUNTY <br />POSITION VACA~-Y ANNOUNCL~EHT <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR <br /> <br />BASIC FUNCTION: <br />50 establish, implement and direct the economic development program <br />within Brown County and to provide technical assistance in the writ- <br />ing of grant applications for the communities within Brown County. <br /> <br />DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIEE: <br />Accw,ulate data on the County and community to include inventory of <br />available buildings, services, utilities, etc. Maintain a file on <br />State/Federal Grant and Loan Programs. Provide community assistance <br />with local projects for sewer, water and other infrastructure. <br />Maintain a Targeted Marketing Study. Provide assistance for local <br />economic development organization. Provide technical assistance in <br />writing grant applications and assistance with downtown revitaYiza- <br />tion programs. Assist Brown County communities in establishing <br />revolving loan funds. Design and implement other local creative <br />financing mechanisms. Refer businesses to other sources of assis- <br />tance. Periodically review plans to evaluate progress toward econom- <br />ic development with the County and effectively work with the Board <br />of Commssioners. <br /> <br />QUALIFICATIONS: <br />A Bachelor's Degree in business administration or Associate Degree <br />in business administration, with a minimum of five years of experi- <br />ence in the field of business administration. Minimum of two years <br />of experience with respect to grant applications for State and Feder- <br />al funding programs. Must possess fluent conversational public <br />speaking abilities. Must have a working knowledge of all existing <br />current Minnesota Law pertaining to economic development and be <br />thoroughly fam$1iar with other government agencies that provide <br />funding and/or assistance for economic development. <br /> <br />.COMPENSATION: <br /> Position is currently in Grade ~ ~ <br /> ~eve~ XiiI with a salary range of <br /> $21,954. - $29,741. <br /> <br />Application are to be submitted to the Minnesota Jobs and Training <br />Department, 1200 South Broadway or Leah Crabtree, Personnel Officer, <br />Courthouse, New ULm, MN 56073.
