WI 54022 · <br /> <br />715/425-3881 · <br /> <br /> POSITION DESCRIPTION <br /> EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />PIERCE COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br /> <br />Detailed Duties <br /> <br />Conceive, develop and implement programs to achieve county- <br />wide balance and diversified economic growth. <br /> <br />A. Monitor and revised program as required to achieve <br /> object ives· <br />B. Recruit prospective industries to the area through <br /> personal visits. <br />C. Assist existing county industries in their expansion/ <br /> relocation plans with in the county. <br />D. Cultivate businesses within the county. <br /> <br />Train, supervise and coordinate activities of personnel <br />employed by the Pierce County Economic Development <br />Corporation. <br /> <br />Research available resources and create and maintain a <br />central source of information and assistance to support <br />economic development <br /> <br />A. Files will be developed to include data for the county <br /> as a whole including cities, viltages-a~d-r%owns.- -- <br />B. Data shall include population and other typical Census <br /> Bureau statistics, vital statistics, income, government <br /> and taxation, education, utility costs, industrial <br /> buildings and properties, employment, cost of living <br /> data, financial information, and construction activity <br /> summaries. <br />C. Files are to be maintained and updated annually. <br /> <br />Conduct surveys as necessary to assure currency of <br />statistical files. <br /> <br />Ao Annually survey county manufacturers and processors to <br /> determine work force size, payroll, extent of <br /> unionization, and expansion plans offering employment. <br />B. Regularly survey cities, villages and towns. <br /> <br />Develop and implement a marketing plan for the county. <br /> <br />Develop, publish, distribute and update corporate brochures <br />and provide assistance to cities, villages and towns with <br />their brochures. <br /> <br /> <br />
