7. Effect an active program of public relations. <br /> <br />A. Participate in those county/community activities which <br /> dJ~rect]y affect the industrial clientele. <br />B. Establish a good working relationship with the State <br /> Department of Development, Forward Wisconsin, Inc., the <br /> Cooperative Extension Service, and other state, regional <br /> and local agencies. <br />C. Maintain liaison with the industrial community so as to <br /> develop and perpetuate a line of communication of value <br /> in learning of industrial prospects. <br /> <br />Attend meetings of the Pierce County Economic Development <br />Corporation and report on project progress, current <br />financial status, and other problems and issues. <br /> <br />Recommend an annual program budget to the Executive and <br />Corporate Board. <br /> <br />10. Engage in a program of continuing professional development. <br /> <br />Accountability <br /> <br />Guidance and direction is provided by the Board of Directors <br />of the Corporation through the Executive Committee. <br /> <br />Long-range planning will emanate from the Board of <br />Directors. <br /> <br />Qualifications <br /> <br /> 1. Knowledge of local and area organizations and functions. <br /> 2. Knowledge of economic trends and relevant economic issues. <br /> 3. Knowledge of real estate, construction and business finance. <br /> 4. Knowledge of management skills and principles. <br /> 5. Ability to market and sell. <br /> 6. Ability to work effectively with staff, business executives, <br /> elected officials, volunteers, and the general public. <br /> 7. Ability to interpret economic data. <br /> 8. Ability to work creatively and independently with minimum <br /> supervision. <br /> 9. Ability to facilitate the development of financial packages. <br />10. Ability to effectively represent local economic development <br /> organizations and their views in all public situations. <br /> <br />Education and Experience <br /> <br />Graduation from an accredited college of university with a degree <br />in business administration, economics, or related field and 3 <br />years experience in economic development preferred. <br /> <br /> <br />
