Case #3: Review Of Plans And Specifications For 155th Avenue NW And Variolite <br /> <br />Street NW (MSA Street Surfacing Project): <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />approve of the plans and specifications for the following MSAS projects for <br />submission to the Mn/DOT. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />appoint the following Councilmembers to the Road and Bridge Standing Committee: <br /> <br />Councilperson Reimann <br />Councilperson Schlueter <br /> <br />Further, to appoint the following City Staff members as ex-officio members to <br />this committee: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Public Works Superintendent Merle Mevissen <br />Building Official Clayton Berg <br /> <br />The purpose of this committee is to review all street project plans and <br />specifications and make recommendations to Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: Receiving Of Petition From Property Owners For Sanitary Sewer And <br /> Water: <br /> <br />City has received a petition from property owners of land in the 1984 proposed <br />sanitary sewer area requesting that the City commence preparing plans and <br />specification for making public utilities available. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner to accept the petition and table any action <br />until the regular Council meeting scheduled for February 22, 1983. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann seconds the motion for discussion. Councilmember Reimann <br />stated that when the sewer hook-up reaches Ramsey's boundary, Ramsey has to <br />prove a need and if economic development comes to a standstill, can Ramsey delay <br />that sewer hook-up? City Engineer Raatikka replied that Ramsey could delay <br />hook-up, that it will not be extended until Ramsey shows a need. City Engineer <br />Raatikka noted that Art Raudio is anxious for sanitary sewer and water also. <br />Council then discussed the proposed Thurston Avenue extension. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Approval Of Contract For Fire Service From The C~ty Of Anoka, Request <br />For: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to <br />approve of the fire contract service from the City of Anoka in the amount of <br />$27,238.42. Further, to authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to sign <br /> <br />C/January 25, 1983 <br /> Page 10 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
