Mayor Gamec stated that Council is even more frightened than the citizens because there is a certain amount of pride that goes with saying that 5 lay persons can do the job from a managing, engineering and legal standpoint. There was a real hurt when we heard the citizens thought we were mixed up, but what hurts the most is to see outright lying. I am not going to force anyone out of their home and the entire Council feels the same way. When streets and roads come in and development took place along the river, I didn't want it because I too like to ride horseback and snowmobile. The City has developed excellently and Council has done an outstanding job. The rumors hurt personally and Council really does care and we know the citizens depend on us. We love this City and when you work with it you don't want to screw it up financially or planning-wise. Brenda Bauerkemper - Maybe some members of the Coalition do spread rumors, but our actual stand is as well documented as we can get it. We inquired at various city hall's for the numbers we are quoting and I don't like being told that we are troublemakers and are distributing false information and I don't think it is Coalition members that are spreading the rumors. Mayor Gamec stated that the rumors are probably coming from both sides. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Reimann to adjourn the special Council meeting. Further Discussion: Councilmember Schlueter stated that based on direction from Special Council Meeting held May 9, 1983 and the advisment of the City Attorney, she is submitting tonight to the Personnel Committee, via this Council, her written input pertaining to the proposed resolution regarding on-site septic systems.
