Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann,
Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Council authorized that this findings of fact be presented at the special
Council meeting scheduled for June 14, 1983.

MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT

City Engineer Raatikka Items For Discussion:

a) Drainage Problem on Erkium

Mr. Raatikka stated that he and Mr. Mevissen viewed the property and could
not find a real defined drainage ditch and to install a ditch would be
an extensive project. Mr. Raatikka stated that Burns township also
contributes to the problem and they should also be financially responsible.

Jim Martin - 185th and Erkium - Inquired if an adequate study was prepared
regarding drainage in the area prior to the street improvements.

Mayor Gamec replied that citizenry usually objects to in-depth studies
when they find out the costs involved and he also noted that eventually
ditches in Ramsey are going to require cleaning because excessive growth
has restricted run-off.

Jim Martin - Stated that prior to street improvements there was a natural
run-off to the creek and there were no drainage problems. Mr. Martin,
and three other homeowners in the subject area, feel that a simple ditch
to the creek is all that is needed and they don't feel it would be fair
to assess the costs back to them.

Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg
to order a simple feasibility study researching low cost alternative
solutions to the drainage problem on Erkium and report back to Council at
their next regular Council meeting.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg,
Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

b) Feasibility Study On 157th Between Armstrong And Variolite

Mr. Raatikka presented Council with copies of the Feasibility Study.

Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann
to adopt Resolution #83-96 accepting feasibility study and calling for
a public hearing for the street improvement of 157th Avenue NW between
Armstrong Blvd. NW and Variolite Street NW on Tuesday, June 14, 1983 at
9:10 P.M. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #83-96).

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg,
Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

c) Easement - James Hunt

Mr. Raatikka stated that he has met with Merlin Hunt, son of James Hunt,

Sp C/June 6, 1983
