Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />approve of the request by Faith Baptist Church of Ramsey for a conditional <br />use permit contingent upon the applicant's agreeing to the following: <br /> <br />a) That the development be completed as specified in the site plan and <br /> in accordance with City Code. <br /> <br />b) That the construction of the proposed future expansions shall be <br /> approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Schlueter noted that P&Z has requested <br />that they too be given the opportunity to review any future requests for <br />expansion of the church. Councilmember Sorteberg amends his motion to <br />include the following: That any future requests for expansion of the church <br />be reviewed by Ramsey Planning and Zoning. Councilmember Schlueter seconded <br />the amendment to the motion. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve of the site plan and building design plans for Faith Baptist Church <br />of Ramsey for a church at the southwest corner of County Roads #5 and #57, <br />contingent upon City Building Official's approval. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Van Wagner. <br /> <br />Mr. Reed commented, regarding the community school program, that his church <br />provides bus service for some 50 children (some of whom were involved with <br />chemical dependency) and that he is thrilled with the results of the program <br />on those children. <br /> <br />Mr. Reed then stated that he would like to make a comment regarding the <br />proposed street improvement project for Hematite Street; if the street <br />and church parking lot are paved and the property is sold, who is obligated <br />to pay the assessments? <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that could be worked out between the buyer, <br />seller and mortgage company. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that a certain portion of the project was deleted <br />which did include the church property, and now the homeowner across the <br />street from the church is requesting that the blacktop be continued to <br />include his property and the church property. <br /> <br />C/June 28, 1983 <br /> Page 8 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
