(Cpntis~d; <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that a resolution has been prepared to include on the <br />April 19, 1988 ballot an advisory question on whether or not a volunteer <br />fire department should be established in Ramsey. Mr. Hartley read the <br />proposed resolution aloud. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #88-5 directing that the April 19, 1988 special election ballot <br />include an advisory question on whether or not a volunteer fire department <br />should be established in Ramsey. (Please refer to resolution file for <br />Resolution #88-5). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: SpecificatiOnS For Contracting Out Sanitary Sewer And W~t~r <br /> Distribution M~intenance And Park Maintenance: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley requested that Council appoint two members to review the <br />specifications for contracting out sewer and water distribution maintenance <br />and park maintenance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to appoint <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg and Pearson to serve on the committee to review <br />the specifications, standards, request for proposals and contract documents <br />for contracting out sanitary sewer and water distribution maintenance and <br />park maintenance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox, DeLuca and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Sorteberg. <br /> <br />Case #~: Easement Acquisition R~garding Sewer And Water Project For <br /> Properties South Of U.S. ~ighway ~10: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich proceeded to review the following terms presented in a draft <br />agreement between the City and the Holaseks/Hamiltons for easement <br />acquisition regarding sewer and water for properties south of U.S. Hwy. <br />#10: <br /> <br />The City would receive - an 80 foot right-of-way for Front Street and <br /> sewer and water through fee title; <br /> <br />- a 100 foot wide temporary construction <br /> easement for construction of sewer and water; <br /> <br />- a 20 foot wide permanent storm sewer easement <br /> from south of Front Street to the Mississippi <br /> River together with it's adjacemt <br /> construction easement. <br /> <br />The City would <br /> <br /> - waive the ~treet assessment for the MSA <br /> street to be constructed across that <br />City Council/January 12, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 7 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
