event the agreement as indicated in the motion above is not agreed to by <br />March 31, 1988, which is the scheduled condemnation hearing date. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the appraisal of the Hamilton/Holasek property as described in <br />Resolution #88-14 in the amount of $25,000/acre for the fee title property <br />and permanent easements and at the rate of $2500/acre for the temporary <br />constructions easements and to authorize the City's Finance Department to <br />issue a check in said amount payable either to the Anoka County District <br />Court Administrator or the th~property owners as directed by the City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmsmber Cox. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich reported that progress is being made in negotiations for <br />the acquisition of easements on the Laws property and requested Council <br />direction. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsmber Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the appraisal of the Laws property as described in Resolution 988- <br />30 in the amount of $16,000/acre and to authorize the City's finance <br />department to issue a check in said amount payable either to the Anoka <br />County District Court A~ministrator or the property owner as directed by <br />the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember COx. <br /> <br />Case #21: Fire Protection Contracts With Anoka~Champlin Fire Departmen~ <br /> A~d The City Of Elk River: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the previously proposed one-year contract called <br />for a two-year notice of stop service; the contracts have been revised to <br />perpetual with a two-year notice of stop service required. <br /> <br />Motion by Councillmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve entering into contracts with the City of Elk River and the Anoka/ <br />Champlin Fire Department for fire protection service. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Case #22: Ordinance Regarding The Issuance Of Charitable Gambling <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley presented a draft of the proposed charitable gambling license <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg <br />directing City Staff to send a copy of the draft ordinance to all exising <br />charitable gambling license holders for their input and comments. <br /> <br />City Council/March 22, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 14 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
