Council agreed with the level of maintenance bid for Whispering Pines I <br />Park. <br /> <br />Woodland Green Park <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated that litter control should be increased to 20 times/year; <br />repair/paint picnic tables should be added. <br /> <br />Council agreed with the level of maintenance bid for Woodland Green Park. <br /> <br />Pump_ House Property <br /> <br />Council agreed with the level of maintenance bid for Pump House property. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto noted that Gorham's Sandy Acres, Whispering Pines III Park and <br />another portion of Greenland Hills are areas used basically as retention <br />basins that have mowing and litter control performed on th~m. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto inquired if Council wishes to contract out for cemetery <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />Council directed that cemetery maintenance 6 times/year be added to the <br />specifications. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto stated that the City Council or the Park Commission need to <br />establish a policy regarding the quality level the City will require on <br />donated materials. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that after bids are received, they will be analyzed for <br />cost efficiency compared to hiring in-house personnel to performthe tasks. <br />If the bid for grounds maintenance is awarded, City Staff will continually <br />evaluate which tasks are more cost efficient to do in-house or contract <br />out. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he will prepare a resolution for Council <br />consideration on April 12 to set bid dates for park and landscape <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />adjourn the special City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None.
