Councilm~mber Cox asked how they feel about using tax increment funds for a <br />business with another City's name. <br /> <br />Mr. John Noard stated that he is in the process of trying to get feedback f rom <br />his advertising agency. The business is 14 years old and is established. He <br />stated that he is oontemplating using Anoka-P~msey. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that as much as he wants to cooperate and would like <br />th~ in the coF~unity, Ramsey will never have an identity if businesses don't <br />start identifying with the community they're located in. <br /> <br />City Administrator Hartley stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended approval of City participation in the proposed project and <br />suggested that Ramsey be incorporated or referenced in the name of the <br />business. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the request by Mr. John Noard for City participation in the proposed <br />project, with the suggestion that Ramsey be incorporated or referenced in the <br />name of the business, and authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to execute <br />a preliminary development agre~ent for the proposed project. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Pearson, <br />DeLuca, and Cox. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember COx mentioned the airport and wanted Mr. Noard tobe aware of the <br />issues. <br /> <br />Request four Site Plan Review and Preliminary Appro.~.al O~ a <br /> Planned Unit Develo?ment; Case of Mr. George Carlson _and River's <br /> Bend Properties: <br /> <br />City Administrator Hartley stated that the plans and specifications will be <br />available at the April 26, 1988 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Norris stated that the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission had to hold a public hearing on this project as a Planned Unit <br />Development and they recommended granting preliminary approval of the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Counciln~ber COx and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to approve <br />the site and preliminary developmentplans for the apartment project proposed <br />by Mr. Ceorge Carlson and River's Bend Properties. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Cox, Pearson, <br />DeLuca, and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />Case ~5: 1987 Bud~etAdjustment~: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Graczyk reviawed the proposed resolutions with the Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Counciln~mber Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to adopt <br />Resolution #88-&~ to amend the 1987 Operating Budget. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox~ <br />Pearson, and DeLuca.
