Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case_ ~9; Site Improvements For Rum River Terra~e~ Improvement P.r.o~ect <br /> ~88-13: <br /> <br />Mr. t~aatikka stated that DNR and Mn/DOT have reviewed the plans for Rum <br />River Terrace. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca suggested that the City beging to require continuity <br />in project lighting, noting that high pressure sodium is the most <br />aesthetic. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution ~88-71 approving plans and specifications and or¢].er <br />advertisement for bids for Improvement Project ~88-13. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Ms. Norris requested clarification on Council's previous decision regarding <br />Mr. Carlson's request for $124,000 in site improvements and $50,000+ in <br />land write-downs. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann replied that in accordance with the tax increment policy <br />established earlier this evening, the City will not be participating in Mr. <br />Carlson's request for land write-downs. <br /> <br />.Case ~10: .~urchase_ Of_ _Special Assessment_ Software: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Graczyk was present requesting Council approval to purchase <br />special assessment software for the computer in order to automate the <br />City's current manual special assessment system. Mr. Graczyk reviewed the <br />costs with Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich recommended Council approval of the request. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve the purchase of the special assessment system software. <br /> <br />Motion carried. For Contracting .Q~ <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka noted that the bids for street crack filling were estimated to <br />come in at about $15,000; 13 bids were received; low bid was Bergman <br />Companies at $8,300.
