10 Minutes CASE #7:

DISCUSSION REGARDING CERTIFIED SITE PLANS
By: Anne Norris, Community Development Director

Background:

As you recall, at your last meeting you requested that the Planning and Zoning
Commission discuss whether certified site plans should be required for any
commercial or industrial proposals (new construction, rezonings, conditional
use permits, etc.). At present, the existing ordinances require that all
commercial or industrial proposals submit a scaled drawing of the site plan but
not necessarily a certified site plan.

Observations:

The Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed this matter on December 2, 1986 and
recommended that the City require certified site plans for any commercial and
industrial proposals/activities.

Recommendation:

Council Action:

Motion to:
Direct City Staff to amend the Zoning Ordinance to require certified site
plans for commercial and industrial activities.

Review Checklist:

Administrator X
Attorney ~
Engineer X
Community Development Director ~
Planning and Zoning Commission X

Chief of Police
Finance Officer
Public Works Superintendent
Building Official

X
