5 Minutes <br /> <br />PROBATIONARY PERIOD COMPLETION OF ELVIN ERICKSON <br /> By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />CASE t/ll: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Elvin Erickson began his employment with the City of Ramsey on June 24, <br />1986. Mr. Erickson has served the City of Ramsey as Building Official since <br />the date of his employment. The labor agreement with AFSCME provides that all <br />newly hired or rehired employees shall serve a six month probationary period. <br />During the probationary period, such probationary employee may be terminated at <br />the sole discretion of the employer. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Anne Norris, Community Development Director, and I have reviewed the performance <br />of Mr. Erickson and a copy of that performance review is enclosed. It is our <br />recommendation that the City Council retain Mr. Erickson as a "regular full- <br />time employee" and declare Mr. Erickson's six month probationary period as <br />satisfactorily completed. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Retain Mr. Elvin Erickson as a regular full-time employee and declare Mr. <br />Erickson's six month probationary period as being satisfactorily completed. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Personnel Committee <br /> <br />X <br /> <br /> <br />
