10 Minutes CASE #10: <br /> <br /> DISCUSSION REGARDING DUMPING SNOW IN P~SEY <br />By: Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At its December 2, 1986 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission expressed <br />concern regarding contractors who plow snow in other communities and dispose of <br />the snow in Ramsey. The Commission was concerned that there may be compounds <br />from the salt, sand and/or automobiles which may pollute the ground when the <br />snow melts. <br /> <br />The Commission recommended that the City consider regulating contractors who <br />dump snow in Ramsey from other communities by requiring these contractors to <br />get special permits from the City for this operation. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Council action will be based on your discussion. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Planning and Zoning Commission X <br /> <br /> <br />
