5 Minutes <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR SITE PLAN REVIEW; <br /> CASE OF MR. MICHAEL POWERS <br />Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />CASE #3: <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Michael Powers is requesting site plan review of his plans to construct a <br />storage building in the I-1 Industrial District in the HY-10 RAMSEY plat. Mr. <br />Powers is proposing to build this building on Lot 1, Block 2, HY-10 RAMSEY. <br />The lot is approximately 1.4 acres in size. Mr. Powers is proposing to provide <br />access to this lot from Ferret Street NW. The building will be approximately <br />50' x 100' and of cement block construction. <br /> <br />Enclosed are the following items for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Letter dated December 8, 1986 from Mr. Powers <br />c) Plat of HY-10 RAMSEY <br />d) Certificate of lot survey <br />e) Proposed site plan <br />f) Proposed building <br />g) Proposed development permit <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />Section 170.017L of the City Code requires that exterior finishes on buildings <br />in the I-1 Industrial District be of material other than metal on at least 50% <br />of the walls. Mr. Powers' proposed structure appears to meet this requirement. <br /> <br />In addition, Section 170.017L requires that a building design plan, topographi- <br />cal map, and site plan showing landscaping, utilities, access, loading docks, <br />lighting, signs, drainage, grading, and off-street parking be provided at the <br />time the request for site plan review is made. Mr. Powers has not provided <br />these items at this time. If the Council wishes to approve Mr. Powers' request, <br />variances should be granted to these requirements. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission will review Mr. Powers' request on December <br />16, 1986.
