Motion by Chairman $ieber and seconded by Commissioner Titterud to write a <br />letter to the Chief Judge requesting reappointment $ieber, Greenberg, Titterud, <br />Data and Gamec to the Charter Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Sieber, Commissioners Greenberg, <br />Titterud, Data and Gamec. Voting No: None. Absent Commissioners Lichter and <br />Buchanan. <br /> <br />Chairman Seiber told the Commission that he would contact Commissioners Lichter <br />and Buchanan and ask them if they would like to be reappointed to the Charter <br />Commis sion. <br /> <br />Case #2 Cpnsider Amendment to City Charter Adjustigy Fili~E Date~ and City <br /> Council and Mayoral Candidates to Correspond with State L~W. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley handed out a draft of an amendment to the City Charter for the <br />Commissions consideration. The amendment proposes to adjust the time period <br />for lifing for office to correspond with State Law and to allow for an <br />apppropriate time period to print and mail absentee ballots prior to an <br />election. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Gamec and seconded by Chairman Seiber to recommend that <br />City Council adopt the proposed amendment to the City Charter to adjust filing <br />dates for City Council and Mayoral Candidates. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman $eiber, Commissioners Gamec, Greenberg, <br />Titterrud and Data. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Lichter and <br />Buchanan. <br /> <br />Case #3 Discuss plans to review other portions of the City Charter. <br /> <br />A discusion ensued and the consensus of the Commission was to table this issue <br />until the next meeting. <br /> <br />A~JOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Gamec and seconded by Commissioner Greenberg to adjourn <br />the Charter Commission meeting at 8:31 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
