Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: Ramsey"s '~It-~B~t~t~ay Celebration: f~ <br />Larry Lindahl stated that the Celebration Committee i~s looking <br />for financial support from the City to insure a successful <br />celebration. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the City prefers monetarily back the <br />celebration rather than donate funds to it; donating funds to <br />the Ramsey Jaycee's could set a precedence in this instance. <br />Any profits from the celebration, after the City has been repaid <br />for it's investment, can be donated to the City Park fund. <br /> <br />Douglas Fountain - 15255 Garnet St. - Stated that his wife works <br />for Grosslein and because of a current lawsuit, beverage <br />distributors are not too eager to lease out beer wagons. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the Ramsey Jaycees' insurance coverage, <br />as well as the City's, should be reviewed. Mr. Goodrich requested <br />that Mr. Lindahl provide the City with a copy of the Jaycee's <br />insurance policy within the next 10 days. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Councilmember~ <br />Reimann to approve backing the Ramsey~ODt-~irtOm~y Celebrationc~'~'~ <br />in the amount of $1,000 on a pay back basis and contingent upon <br />appropriate insurance coverage to be determined by the City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: <br /> <br />Drainage Problem A't 156th' Lane NW And Nutria Street NW; <br /> <br />Case' Of Mr'. Jim Armstr'ong: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated he and Councilmember Sorteberg reviewed the <br />area and the easiest solution would be to increase the ponding <br />area on the adjacent Pomraning property and recommended that <br />soil borings be obtained regarding the water table. Mr. Raatikka <br />stated that he would need a temporary easement from Carl Pomraning <br />in order to do the soil borings and the borings would cost <br />approximately $300-$400. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember <br />Van Wagner directing the City Engineer to obtain temporary <br />easement from Carl Pomraning in order to conduct soil borings <br />and proceed with the soil borings. Further, that the cost of <br />these borings should not exceed $400. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers <br />Sorteberg, Reimann, Schlueter and Van Wagner.
