building inspection services from Mr. Donald Wuest at the hourly <br />rate of $20.00 with mileage at $.20 per mile on an as-needed <br />basis. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that the County refused to test the private <br />wells of certain residences adjacent to the landfill per Ramsey' <br />request, unless testing of wells they have already agreed to do <br />come up with negative results. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle requested Council's approval to purchase a radio <br />for the new City tractor; the cost of the radio is $613 through <br />Hennepin County Purchasing and any purchase over $500 requires <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann stated that he does not think a radio is <br />necessary and he will discuss the matter with the Streets <br />Superintendent. <br /> <br />Council recessed at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the Council meeting back to order at 8:37 p.m. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka referred to Central Park and stated that soccer/ <br />football fields could be developed with the addition of 9 sprinkler <br />heads. The 9 heads will cost $2500 but the City is saving $4000 <br />on well construction; overall, the irrigation costs will be under <br />the amount budgeted. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Reimann to enter into a change order with the irrigation contractor <br />at Central Park to add 9 sprinkler heads in the amount of $2472. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Reimann, <br />Sorteberg, Schlueter and Van Wagner.
