Pumpers should explain the reasons for
recording this information as follows: 1) FHA and VA financing
purposes; 2) City's intent to upgrade records for the benefit of City and
homeowners; 3) To comply with Metro Council record keeping system.
Councilmember Schlueter stated that the people said they would not have
gone on the defensive had they been made aware of just what this
information was to be used for. Councilmember Schlueter recommended that
the information gathering procedure continue, that the pumper explain to
each homeowner just why all this information is being recorded and make
special note of any homeowner still in opposition to the process.
